An Insurance Conference that has “beaten the odds"

A Pancyprian Insurance Conference was organized by Universal Life at CineStudio of University of Nicosia on 28/09/2017. The conference was themed after the slogan “Beating the odds" and was addressed to the Company’s sales network.

The event also attended the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. George Georgiou, the Chief Executive Officer Dr. Andreas K. Kritiotis, as well as the Company’s senior management and other employees.

In his opening speech, the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Andreas Kritiotis, made a special reference to the new digital era. He stressed that internet has now given the consumers voice, making the role of the insurance agents much more difficult as they are called to serve a more demanding consumer.  As he stated, Universal Life aims to provide its insurance agents with pioneering tools so that they are ready to meet the challenges of the new era as well as to add value to their clientele.

Universal Life Sales Manager, Mr Koullis Savvides, welcomed all conference attendees and highlighted the new prospects created by the cooperation between Universal Life and Cyprus Co-operative Bank. He also referred to the new innovative tools that the Company will soon make available for its insurance agents and will be utilized for better training as well as enabling the agents to better analyze their clients’ needs and offer them the best fit solutions.  He also stressed that the Company could achieve "beating the odds” by investing into its insurance agents and supporting them towards becoming specialized consultants.

The event ended with a very special guest speaker: The International Ultra-Marathon runner, Mr. Yiannis Kouros, who has been the winner of more than 150 global records. During his speech, Mr. Kouros stated that the secret of success lies in the ability of each person to overcome himself and beat the odds through the power of mind, soul and spirit. He stressed the importance of values such as persistence and willpower, as well as the importance of the fighting spirit; every obstacle can be overcome when physical effort, but more importantly spiritual power is employed.
