With the aim of protecting the natural environment and strengthening reforestation efforts, Universal Life organised a tree-planting initiative on Saturday, 7 March 2026, at Cape Greco. The initiative forms part of the Company’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and continues Universal Life’s programme supporting reforestation in Cyprus.
As part of this programme, Universal Life contributes €1 for every new Life Insurance policy issued, supporting reforestation initiatives and investing in the creation of a greener and more sustainable future for Cyprus.
Employees and insurance advisors of Universal Life, together with their families, participated in the initiative, actively contributing to the planting of trees in the Cape Greco area. The goal is to help strengthen the region’s green landscape and contribute to the development of a new green lung for the wider area.
The initiative is part of Universal Life’s collaboration with the Cyprus Forestry Association, within the framework of the Department of Forests’ Action Implementation Plan, which forms part of the European initiative aiming to plant three billion trees by 2030. Through this partnership, Universal Life consistently supports reforestation efforts across Cyprus, contributing to the protection of biodiversity and the sustainable management of the natural environment.
In a statement, Mr Kypros Moiranthis, General Manager of Administration at Universal Life, said:
“At Universal Life, we believe that care extends beyond the people who place their trust in us; it also includes the environment in which we live and grow. Through initiatives such as this, we aim to contribute meaningfully to the protection and regeneration of Cyprus’ natural environment, investing in a more sustainable future for the next generations. It is particularly important for us that the people of Universal Life embraced this initiative with enthusiasm. The active participation of our employees and partners is a key element of our corporate culture and gives real meaning to the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives we implement.”
